4.5 Inches Of Snow For Our New Years Day – Mid Michigan
Yesterday was cloudy with light snow falling most of the day. The heavier snow came later and overnight. We got what was predicted (3-6 inches) and I’m happy with that. At least there was no freezing rain and the snow was light. My husband was busy all morning cleaning up with the plow and snow blower. Now skies have cleared and we have plenty of sunshine, but no thawing is happening. Our high today was only 23°F and temps are already falling for the evening.
Our 4 PM temperature is 19°F (-7°C), the humidity is 66%, and skies are clear. Winds are from the N at 4-6 mph and the dew point is 8°F (-13°C). The pressure is 30.19 in (1022.4 mb) and rising. Yesterday’s high was 35°F (2°C) and the overnight low was 17°F (-8°C). Average temps for this date are 31°F / 21°F. Sunrise was at 8:07 AM and sunset will be at 5:13 PM.
