Strong Winds, Much Cooler Temps – Mid Michigan

After a very blustery Thursday, winds are much calmer today, but it feels like winter once again.  A few minutes ago, we were having a snow shower.  Now the sun is out.  That’s what we can expect most of today.  We had wind gusts yesterday up to 45 mph, but they diminished considerably by the end of the day.  Temperatures were in the mid 50s early but continued falling all day.  By 6 PM, it was only around 40F.  That will be our expected high today, but temperatures are expected to rebound back into the 50s by week’s end.

Our 11 AM temperature is 35°F (2°C), the humidity is 76%, and winds are from the west at 10-17  mph.  The dew point is 27°F (-3°C) and the wind chill is 25°F (-4°C).  The pressure is 29.94 in (1013.9 mb) and rising.  Skies are mostly cloudy and visibility is 10 miles.  Yesterday’s high was 62°F (17°C) and the overnight low was 30°F (-1°C).  Sunrise was at 7:18 AM and sunset will be at 8:02 PM.

A slight chance of snow showers before noon. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 41. Northwest wind 14 to 16 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
Tonight
Mostly clear, with a low around 27. West northwest wind 5 to 9 mph becoming light west southwest after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 18 mph.
Saturday
A chance of showers after 3pm. Increasing clouds, with a high near 48. South wind 5 to 8 mph, with gusts as high as 18 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
