Spring Is In The Air . . .

Spring Is In The Air . . .

Except for the wind, today is beautiful.  It’s a little cooler than yesterday, but still quite nice.  My husband was out for a few  hours yesterday playing with his lawn tractor, shedding some of his cabin fever.  I went out but didn’t stay long.  The wind was cold even though the temp was in the mid 60s.  Our extended forecast is for more warm weather and Friday could reach the 70s.  Unfortunately, warm days this time of year sometimes brings…

Spring-Like Weather Upon Us.. . .

Spring-Like Weather Upon Us.. . .

This is the weather we’ve been looking forward to.  We have clear skies and temps expected to reach into the low 60s.  Needless to say, I’ll be spending some time outdoors today. Our 12:15 PM temperature is 54°F (12°C), the humidity is 55%, and skies are clear.  Winds are from the SW at 6-14 mph, and the pressure is 29.97 in (1014.9 mb) and steady.  The dew point is 35°F (2°C) and visibility is 10 mile.  Yesterday’s high was 55°F…

Sunny And Warmer . . .

Sunny And Warmer . . .

Today will be the type of March day that we all look forward to.  They are few and far between, but when they happen, it’s wonderful.  What’s even better is that this entire week will be great, and we could even see high temperatures near 70°F by week’s end.  Unfortunately, we are already being warned that their could be severe weather with it. Our 11:30 AM temperature is 44°F, the humidity is 64%, and skies are clear.  Winds are from…

Heading Into Another Warmup . . . .

Heading Into Another Warmup . . . .

After the past two very cold days, we can look forward to more warm weather in the days ahead.  In fact, Monday and Tuesday are expected to reach into the 60s possibly.  Today will still not be that warm, but at least we should see quite a bit of sun.  That always makes a day more pleasant. Our 11 AM temperature is 29°F, the humidity is 60%, an skies are clear.  Winds are from the west at 3-6 mph, and…

A Return Of Winter . . .

A Return Of Winter . . .

After some rain showers dropped a little over half an inch of rain yesterday, it turned into snow after dark, and dropped half an inch of snow.  A little has melted  but some still remains on my deck  Temperatures are cold enough that it isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.  The wind has decreased somewhat, but still too strong for my liking.  There are a few breaks in the clouds and a little sun would be nice. Our 2;45 PM temperature…

A Not-So-Nice Day . . . .

A Not-So-Nice Day . . . .

Our national weather map this morning is showing a lot of extreme weather expected today.  Thankfully, we are only expecting rain showers.  We had a few snow flurries yesterday before it all turned to rain.  There was 0.11″ in my gauge, and a lot more rain is expected today, tonight, and tomorrow.  At least it isn’t snow. Our 9:45 AM temperature is 38°F, the humidity is 91%, and skies are overcast.  Winds are from the south at 3-8 mph, and…

Warmer Temps, A Little Snow . . . .

Warmer Temps, A Little Snow . . . .

We have very little snow left and our temperatures will be quite warm on Wednesday.  We could see 60F for our high, but it won’t last long. The remainder of the week will be more normal and wet.  Not bad of a week ahead for us.  Yesterday was a mix of sun and clouds and highs were in the 30s.  Today should be a little warmer. Our 1:15 PM temperature is 37°F, the humidity is 67%, and skies are cloudy…

Cold And Cloudy . . . . .

Cold And Cloudy . . . . .

Today, temperatures will rise to right around freezing, then another significant warmup will arrive.  We could see temps reaching near 60F by Wednesday before another bout of cold air comes.  It’s that time of year where Mother Nature gives us a taste of spring, but just a teaser.  Unfortunately, the temp variants also can bring tornadoes and other severe weather.  Michigan’s tornado season is usually May and June, although they can happen any time of the year.  The last two…

Very Cold, Windy . . . . .

Very Cold, Windy . . . . .

We have very cold, blustery weather this weekend.  Highs yesterday did reach into the 50s, but the wind blew most of the heat away.  Today won’t be as warm, and the wind chills will be brutal.  We could also see some snow showers, but right now, the sun is trying to shine.  I’m not expecting it to last long.  Most of the snow is gone except for some patches. Our 10:45 AM temperature is 20°F, the humidity is 62%, and…

A One-day Warmup . . . .

A One-day Warmup . . . .

Today will bring temps near 50F, but it will become blustery by the afternoon.  There’s a wind advisory until 5PM.  There was a little rain in my gauge this morning, but barely enough to matter.  We could see a little sun this afternoon but with the strong winds, it will blow most of the warmth away. Our 1PM temperature is 46°F, the humidity is 67%, and skies are cloudy.  Winds are from the south at 8-20 mph, and the pressure…
