A Little Rain For Our Sunday . . . . .

A Little Rain For Our Sunday . . . . .

We had clear skies this morning, but now rain is moving in from the southeast.  That doesn’t often happen.  We aren’t expecting much until overnight.  Then we may see amounts of up to three quarters of an inch.  Most of the farmers already have their planting done, so this rain is coming at a very good time. Our 3:15 PM temp is 57°F, the humidity is 59% and skies are cloudy with sprinkles. Winds are from the north at 2-11…

Cooler Weather Returns . . . .

Cooler Weather Returns . . . .

Yesterday was quite nice with a mix of sun and clouds.  Winds were light so pleasant to be outdoors.  This morning began with cloudy skies but now there are some breaks in the clouds and the sun manages to make a showing although briefly.  There is no rain expected until tomorrow although highs will remain below average.  I got my summer bird feeding station set up for the summer birds.  An oriole made an appearance at the suet cake but…

Our 2:45 PM temperature is 60°F (16°C), the humidity is 59%, and wind are from the west at 2-9 mph.  The pressure is 29.82…

A Little Rain To Start Our Day . . .

We had a few showers this morning leaving us with a little over quarter of an inch of badly needed rain.  I’m hoping that we get a little more before day’s end.  It isn’t raining at this time and the sun looks like it’s trying to shine.  I’m hoping that it will brings more storms our way. Our 1:15 PM temperature is 57°F (14°C), the humidity is 85%, and winds are from the SE at 1-2 mph.  The pressure is…

Cool And Sunny . . . .

Cool And Sunny . . . .

We broke the record yesterday for high temperature for that date.  It really felt like summer, although the strong winds took away from much of the warmth.  The rain that was predicted  for us never happened but we still have rain in our forecast for the next few days.  We really need the rain to knock down the dust from our road.  The farmers are busy planting and this is great weather for them, but some rain would be good…

Wind Is Our Issue Today . . . .

Wind Is Our Issue Today . . . .

Although our temperatures will be summer-like, very strong winds will make being outdoors far from pleasant.  The map above shows expected wind gust throughout our state today.  There is also a chance for severe weather in a few areas.  We also have a chance for some thunderstorms early, but it isn’t happening.  The warmest temps are expected early, then falling through the afternoon. Our 10:15 AM temperature is 78°F (26°C), the humidity is 58% and winds are very strong from…

The Quiet Before The Storms . . . .

The Quiet Before The Storms . . . .

As we can see on the national weather map that we have some very stormy weather approaching our state.  Although my area isn’t expecting severe storms, the western side of the state could be affected.   Until then, we are expecting today to be very nice although a bit on the windy side.  Highs should reach well into the seventies and there should be plenty of sun. Our 10 AM temperature is 62°F (17°C), the humidity is 40%, and winds are…

Great Weather For Our Sunday . . . . .

Great Weather For Our Sunday . . . . .

Today is a winner with comfortable temps, moderate winds, and plenty of sun.  We are expecting stormy weather late Monday and into Tuesday.  I’m hoping that it won’t be as bad as they are saying.  Right now, the severe weather is expected on the west side of the state but that can always change.  The mid areas of the country will get most of it.  So we’ll enjoy today as it is. Our 12:30 PM temperature is 62°F, the humidity…

Again, Most Rain Missed Us . . . .

Again, Most Rain Missed Us . . . .

The promise for rain for us dwindled out.  All we got was a couple of quick sprinkles in the afternoon.  With all of the storms that formed, they all missed us.  I’m hearing now that Monday could be a major severe weather outbreak for the country.  According to Ryan Hall, weather analyst, conditions will be right for dangerous storms, including large tornadoes, to develop.  The affected area just misses us but we all know that can change.  This has been…

A Chance For Afternoon Storms . . . .

A Chance For Afternoon Storms . . . .

This morning is beautiful with mild temps and almost clear skies.  Later, we are expecting thunderstorms although nothing severe.  We really do need the rain.  Even areas of our lawn, which are usually wet, have dried out completely.  Then much cooler temps come in for the weekend. Our 12:30 PM temperature is 72°F (22°C), the humidity is 57%, and skies are mostly clear.  Winds are from the NE at 2-5 mph.  The pressure is 20.95 in (1014.2 mb) and falling,…
