Happy New Year!
We woke to a white world this morning. We had a mix of snow and rain most of yesterday which left us with 2 inches of slush or an icy mix of snow and ice, which ever you prefer. We have snow flurries once again this morning but not enough to accumulate. A follow-up on the storm expected Monday, from what I’ve seen, it looks like most of it will remain to our south, but still too early to give…

A Little Sun Following A Day Of Rain . . . .
After a day and night of constant rain, today we have the sun trying to make an appearance. Yesterday’s precip amount was 1.33 inches. It rained all day, then switched to wet snow late last night. It was covering my deck when I went to bed, and I expected to see an all white ground cover this morning. There was no snow remaining. We will start losing our warm temperatures after today, and very cold temps will be with us…
Another Rainy, Dreary Day . . . .
After yesterday’s spring-like weather, today ushers in more winter for us. It will take a few days to feel the brunt of it, but we know it’s coming. I’m hearing that we should be prepared for a snowy January, and I’m happy that I don’t have to travel somewhere every day in it. As for today, I expect that it will be very wet but continued mild. Our 11:15 AM temperature is 43°F, the humidity is 97%, and skies are…
Springlike Weather . . . .
Although our temperatures are very warm for this date, the day is gloomy and quite windy. It feels like a day in March instead of December. But it won’t last long as another round of frigid weather will be upon us soon. This is typical for Michigan in winter. Our coldest, stormiest days usually happen in January and February, so we better enjoy today. Our 12 Noon temperature is 53°F (12°C), the humidity is 77%, and skies are overcast. Winds…
Feels Like Spring . . . .
It is very mild today and quite pleasant to be outdoors. We do have a chance for rain later, but no precip at this time. There was a bit of drizzle yesterday which left 0.02″ in my gauge, and tomorrow could be wet as well. Early next week is expected to be on the warm side right through New Years Day. I’m hearing that January is expected to be a snowy month. We’ll see how that works out. Our 12:15…
Mild But Dreary . . . . .
We haven’t had any precip but the warm temps are quickly melting what snow we have left. The upcoming week is expected to be mild, before the next blast of frigid air moves over us. There is a chance of rain everyday but it could reach 50°F on Saturday. No sun expected anytime soon. Our 1:15 PM temperature is 39°F, the humidity is 98%, and skies are overcast. Winds are from the SE at 3-4 mph. The pressure is 29.00…
Christmas Day . . . . .
I guess we could say that we have a white Christmas. We have no fresh snow but none of our existing snow has melted, so we continue to have about an inch of snow cover left. The past two days never got as warm as expected. Even today isn’t going to get up to where they said it would, but the weekend could see temps as high as 50°F. I guess we’ll have to wait and see about that….
Christmas Eve In Michigan . . .
Yesterday was messy, with rain, then freezing rain, and finally snow late. Roads were slippery in spots but weren’t too bad after salting. Today hasn’t brought any precipitation and temperatures are hovering right around freezing. It isn’t too bad of a day weather-wise. Our 1:15 PM temperature is 36°F, the humidity is 85%, and skies are overcast. Winds are WNW at 2-4 mph, and the pressure is 29.98 in and steady. The dew point is 30°F and visibility is 10…
