Hazy Sunshine . . . . .

Hazy Sunshine . . . . .

We have had mostly cloudy skies this morning, but now we have partly cloudy skies and haze.  After a little research, I discovered that the haze is from wildfires in Oklahoma.  We had a record temp of 62°F yesterday.  It actually tied the record from back in 1930.  It has been a strange winter and I’m hoping that we won’t pay for it in April when the flowers, bushes, and trees start coming out of dormancy.  That’s often what happens….

A Fine Spring-Like Day . . . . .

A Fine Spring-Like Day . . . . .

It really feels like spring out there today.  It is already much warmer than what was predicted, and we could set a new record today.  The morning was cloudy, but now there are quite a few breaks in the clouds and we have a bit of sunshine.  Our rain chances for today have fallen significantly so it’s a great day to get outdoors and do something. Our 2:15 PM temperature is 59°F (15°C), the humidity is 46%, and skies are…

Our Warmer Weather Has Arrived . …

Our Warmer Weather Has Arrived . …

Temperatures will reach the upper 40s today and some areas could reach 50°F.  There are still little patches of snow hanging around and I expect that to be gone by tonight.  This weather is expected to last for another few days yet, then an Alberta clipper will pay us a visit, and possibly some snow.  But we can enjoy this while it lasts. Our 2:15 PM temperature is 47°F (8°C), the humidity is 49%, and winds are from the…

Sunny And Warmer . . . . .

Sunny And Warmer . . . . .

Today has been quite pleasant with plenty of sun, mild breezes, and temperatures in the 40s.  This will be a warmer than average week although we could see some rain by the weekend.  We only have a few patches of snow left and none in the forecast at this time. Our 5 PM temperature is 40°F (4°C), the humidity is 54%, and the dew point is 22°F (-6°C).  The pressure is 30.07 in (1018.3 mb) and falling.  Yesterday’s high was…

Looking Forward To A Moderate Warmup . . . .

Looking Forward To A Moderate Warmup . . . .

Yesterday turned out to be mostly sunny by afternoon.  Unfortunately, the wind made it very uncomfortable to be outdoors.  The wind really picked up overnight and some gusts reached close to 30 mph.  Today is still windy but not quite as bad.  Temperatures will only reach the mid 30s today, then a significant warmup begins tomorrow and through most of next week. Our 2 PM temperature is 35°F (2°C), the humidity is 66%, and skies are cloudy.  Winds are from…

Our Coldest Day This Week . . . .

Our Coldest Day This Week . . . .

Today will really feel like winter with highs only expected to reach the mid 20s.  We received a little snow overnight but not enough to measure.  We continue to have about an inch of snow cover at this time, and that will be gone in a few days.  Another warmup is heading our way with highs reaching into the 50s this up coming week.  Spring is just around the corner. Our 10:45 AM temperature is 21°F (-6°C), the humidity is…

Very Chilly . . . .

Very Chilly . . . .

We received about an inch of very wet snow yesterday and some melted, then refroze.  Fortunately, it’ll be gone in a few days.  It’s much colder today than what we’ve had, and temperatures aren’t expected to rise much above the freezing mark.  So our snow cover will be with us for a little while. Our 3PM temperature is 29°F (-2°C), the humidity is 60%, and skies are mostly cloudy, and we’re seeing a little sun.  Winds are from the NW…

We Have Snow . . . .

We Have Snow . . . .

We have moderate snow falling at the current time, and it is accumulating quickly.  The forecast is only calling for 1-3 inches, so I’m not expecting this to continue all day.  There is a winter weather advisory up until 1 PM , and we have about an inch so far.  Temperatures will remain below freezing for the next few days, so this may stick around for awhile. Our 10 AM temperature is 30°F, the humidity is 96%, and skies are…

Happy Valentines Day . . . .

Happy Valentines Day . . . .

This isn’t just Valentines Day, but Ash Wednesday, the first day of Lent as well.  Today’s weather will be docile, but we are expecting a good amount of snow tomorrow.  Three to five inches is what I’m hearing.  That will only be the fourth time that we’re getting snow this winter.  Previously, we only got about 1-2 inches, so this one sounds promising for some real snow. Our 11 AM temperature is 33°F (1°C), the humidity is 58%, and winds…

Sunny But Very Cold . . . . .

Sunny But Very Cold . . . . .

Today isn’t bad at all for a February day.  We have clear skies and light winds.  It’s perfect for doing anything outdoors that needs to be done.  There is no precipitation in the forecast until late Wednesday or Thursday, so the lawn will have a chance to dry out a bit.  Clouds are starting to appear in the western sky, but nothing significant.  I expect it to be a very nice day. Our 12 Noon temperature is 39°F (4°C), the…
