May Be A Wet Holiday Weekend . . . .

May Be A Wet Holiday Weekend . . . .

Mother Nature isn’t giving us a break from severe weather this weekend.  Even my area could see some strong storms tomorrow and tomorrow night.  Today should be a winner  with warm temps and plenty of sun.  Winds will be light and the humidity at a comfortable range.  So today is the pick day for any outdoor activities. Our 11 AM temperature is 70°F, the humidity is 45%, and winds are from the SE at 2-3 mph.  Skies are mostly clear. …

Warm And Breezy . . . .

Warm And Breezy . . . .

Yesterday was sunny and very warm, but the strong wind made it unpleasant to be outdoors.  Today is much better and it won’t be quite as warm as yesterday.  I’m happy to have the AC off and my windows open.  Tomorrow starts the holiday weekend, and it looks like it may be a bit wet.  Temperatures will be on the cool side so probably not too good for any water sports. Our 1:30 PM temperature is 78°F (26°C), the humidity…

Severe Weather Possible For Us . . . .

Severe Weather Possible For Us . . . .

The weather service has us, as well as much of the mid portions of the country,  targeted for severe weather today.  What’s worse is that my area is expecting it late tonight or early tomorrow morning.  Yesterday’s storms stayed to our north although we did get 0.20″ of rain.  Severe storm warnings were issued for counties just north of us  There are a  lot of lightning strikes showing on my weather station, but none were close. Our 10:30 AM temperature…

Thunderstorms . . . .

A large thunderstorm just missed us.  We were in Owosso shopping, and it appeared that they got a lot of it.  As for us, we had a few sprinkles.  I’m glad that it held off until we got home.  There is nothing more on radar heading our way.  At least for now.  Yesterday really turned out to be a hot day with highs reaching the upper 80s.  Today is expected to be the same, so any storms popping up should…

Another Summer-Like Day . . . . .

Another Summer-Like Day . . . . .

Today was supposed to be a little cooler than yesterday, but our temps have already surpassed yesterday . . . . and it’s still early.  At least we have a breeze today, but even with a breeze, I had to turn on the AC.  We are already being warned about air quality alerts with more wild fires in Canada.  Maybe they’re the same ones and just reignited.  So I’m sure that we’ll be hearing that once again from time to…

Summer-Like . . . .

Today will be very warm with highs expected to reach the mid 80s  We had scattered thunderstorms develop across the state late yesterday, and there was a lot of thunder, but not much rain . . . . . at least not here where I am.  There is no more rain in the forecast until late Monday, and it’s just a slight chance.  Tuesday could be a stormy one for us, and we are already being warned.  What’s interesting is…

Thunderstorms Possible . . . .

Thunderstorms Possible . . . .

Our morning began with clear skies, but clouds are now beginning to look stormy although no rain is on the radar as yet.  No severe weather is expected for us today.  A little rain would be nice for the farmers who have been busy planting.  Temperatures will be quite warm today with hot weather expected next week.  Ryan Hall, YouTube weather analyst, is predicting a stormy end to May for much of the country.  That has already been happening for…

Another Great Weather Day . . . .

Another Great Weather Day . . . .

Today is about as perfect as you can get: light winds, comfortable temperatures, and plenty of sun.  There is some rain on the way but not until tonight.  This is just a good day to spend outdoors. Our 2:45 PM temperature is 76°F (24°C), the humidity is 31%, and winds are from the SSE at 2-5 mph.  The pressure is 29.92 in (1013.2 mb) and steady, and the dew point is 37°F (3°C).  Visibility is 12 miles.  Yesterday’s high was…

Summer-Like . . . .

It’s a beautiful day in Mid Michigan with clear skies, mild temperatures, and a nice breeze.  Highs were suppose to be in the upper 60s, but we’ve managed to make it to the 70° mark.  Yesterday was chilly but dry.  We managed to get all 2.5 acres mowed, so hopefully rain will hold off for awhile so it quits growing. Our 4:30 PM temperature is 70°F, the humidity is 49%, and winds are from the N at 4-10 mph.  The…

Cloudy And Much Cooler . . . . .

Cloudy And Much Cooler . . . . .

After temperatures reaching into the low 80s yesterday, today is much cooler and no sun so far.  We had a weather statement yesterday afternoon saying that a strong thunderstorm was heading our way, with pea sized hail and 40 mph winds.  All we got was some thunder and a few drops of rain.  I think most of it went to our north, and diminished a bit as it traveled east.  Today is cloudy and looks like rain but nothing so…
