It has been a dreary, chilly day on our last day on Eastern Standard Time. Showers moved in yesterday around 1 PM, and continued well into the overnight. There was 0.71″ in my gauge this morning. This past month has felt like anything but winter. It only snowed about three time enough to cover the ground, and then it didn’t last long. After warning us all day yesterday that we had a marginal chance for severe weather, but a very slight chance for tornadoes, guess what??? Several tornadoes hit the state. The closest to us was Grand Blanc, which is just south of Flint. It’s about 25 miles from us. Thankfully, I have heard of no injuries or deaths, but quite a bit of property damage.
