We had three storms yesterday. The first, and longest, happened just after noon. Then another developed just to our west, and moved over us about 5 pm. The rain began late yesterday afternoon, then became heavy overnight. There was 1.37″ in my rain gauge this morning, and rain continued today until early afternoon. A flood watch is in effect. Although we had no severe weather yesterday, we did have a few thunderstorms that passed over giving us 0.45″ of rainfall. Other areas weren’t as lucky. Perry, a small town about 15 miles to our southwest, was hit by a tornado about 8:30 last evening. What was ironic is that the tornado hit their tornado siren, so there was so warning.
