Yesterday was one of the stormiest days that we have had in a long time. The rain began in the afternoon and was light from the beginning; later, when the storms, which produced tornadoes in Chicago reached us, the sky really opened up. Yesterday brought us no rain, but there were isolated storm cells that formed over parts of the state. Several severe storm warnings were issued as well as one tornado warning.
