Yesterday was an unbelievable day of severe storms and tornadoes throughout the mid-section of the US. It began fairly early in the afternoon, and continued throughout the night. We had just a nice summer-type thunderstorm around 9 PM, which dumped a little over and inch of rain on us. We woke to moderate rain this morning and it has continued since then. There was 0.29″ in my rain gauge at 8:30. Tomorrow is expected to be another stormy day with large areas of the midwest and south expecting more tornadoes and strong severe storms.
