The warm temperatures of the past two days have taken care of most of the snow. The only snow remaining is where the snow banks and deep drifts were. It was 53°F when I got up this morning and has pretty much remained that warm since then. We haven’t had any rain yet but it is expected this afternoon. Temperatures remained in the 40s most of the night, therefore melting most of our snow. I measured this morning and it averaged out to about 2 inches. Now it is far less with only about 30% of snow cover. The snowdrifts and snow banks are all that remains. Now it will be dark and dreary at 5 o’clock again. Highs are expected to reach the upper 20s today, and we could even see a little sun. If that happens, my deck may even thaw a bit. Merry Christmas! It has done nothing but snow for the past 3 days, and today is no exception. It isn’t heavy but just enough to keep adding the inches.
