Highs are expected to reach the upper 20s today, and we could even see a little sun. If that happens, my deck may even thaw a bit. My son went out for a test drive to see how the roads were, and he said that they’re all ice covered with snow blowing over them. Although our snow amounts aren’t impressive, strong winds are causing havoc on the roads. A good portion of I-75 is closed between Flint and Saginaw, and sporadic power outages are being reported. Everyone is busy getting ready for the storm. Stores are crowded with last minute shoppers and I’m glad I don’t have to go anywhere today. Our Wednesday began with clear skies and very cold temperatures. It was 13°F when I got up at 8:30. Since then it has warmed a little but not much. We are still keeping our eye on a major winter storm which seems to be heading right at us.
