Chilly Temps Following A Stormy Thursday – Mid Michigan
We finally received some much needed rain yesterday. We had a few sprinkles early, then late in the afternoon, a storm developed right over us, giving us 0.31″ of rain in about 15 minutes. The storm then moved to the ENE, merging with other storms which became severe over southern Michigan. A few tornado warnings were issued but I heard of no reported tornadoes in Michigan. As the storms moved into Ohio, they became more severe and there was tornado damage there. Once again, the south received severe damage from tornadoes and large hail, especially in Texas. This was our first bout of severe weather this year here in Michigan, but we were lucky. Today has been cloudy and we are supposed to see temps in the mid 70s with some sun. In fact, the sun just now has appeared. I’m a bit skeptical that the temperature will actually make it into the mid 70s.
