Severe Weather Possible . . . . .

Severe Weather Possible . . . . .

Last night’s storms totally missed us, but we have another chance to see some later today.  Radar is showing that most will be tame in our area, but we never know.  Once again the heavy storms are rolling through the middle portions of the lower peninsula so a narrow band may affect us.    Highs today reached into the 70s but will be falling once this last batch of storms moves through. Our 5 PM temperature is 68°F, the humidity…

Stormy Weather On The Way . . .

We had a beautiful morning and afternoon, but now clouds are moving in and we can expect some pretty hefty storms tonight and tomorrow.  Hail seems to be the biggest threat but damaging winds and even tornadoes aren’t out of the question. Our 4:15 PM temperature is 73F, the humidity is 39%, and skies are cloudy.  Winds are from the SW at 3-11 mph, and the pressure is 29.83 in and falling.  The dew point is 38F and visibility is…

Pleasant But Chilly . . . .

Pleasant But Chilly . . . .

We had a lot of sun today but it didn’t do much to warm it up.  The high today only made it up to 43°F.  Temps will be much warmer the next three days with highs reaching the 70s on Tuesday.  Unfortunately temps that warm usually mean more severe weather.  These up-and-down temperatures are causing a lot of problems.  Extreme heat in the midwest is creating high fire danger.  As for us, we have high river levels and water standing…

Rain And Falling Temiperatures . . . .

Rain And Falling Temiperatures . . . .

Our quiet, warm morning has become very wet and chilly.  Severe storms are a possibility but mainly down by our southern borders.  We can expect a little T & L, but right now we’re just getting moderate rainfall.  Temps were in the mid 50s this morning, but now have fallen into the 40s.  I heard that we could see a few flurries of snow tonight, but I’m not seeing it now in our current forecasts. Our 4:40 PM temperature is…

Much Warmer . . . .

Much Warmer . . . .

Today is expected to be much warmer than the past two days, with highs possibly rising into the low 70s in southern areas of the state.  As for us, the upper 60s is expected.  Regardless, it will be nice even though we probably won’t see much sun.  Tomorrow could be stormy with another band of cold air descending on us from the north.  We always have to pay for this early warm weather. Our 12:15 PM temperature is 51°F, the…

Another Chilly Day

Another Chilly Day

Today is very chilly although the high is about where it should be.  It wouldn’t be too bad except for the wind.  We had some snow flurries yesterday which melted down to 0.02″.  We aren’t expecting any precip today and the next two days will be much warmer. Our 1:45 PM temperature is 43°F, the humidity is 40%, and winds are from the south at 4-11 mph.  The pressure is 30.33 in and steady.  The dew point is 16°F and…

Cloudy With Snow Flurries . . . . .

Cloudy With Snow Flurries . . . . .

We have cool temperatures but actually, close to normal for this date.  Those few very warm days spoiled us but we do have more coming by week’s end.  Right now, the sun is trying to peek out, and we have been having intermittent snow flurries most of the morning.  It won’t be very warm today, but Wednesday and Thursday look to be our pick days of the week. Our 1:15 PM temperature is 35°F, the humidity is 55%, and winds…

Another Cloudy Day . . . .

Another Cloudy Day . . . .

Yesterday really felt like Spring, but today, not so much.  The temperature isn’t too cold, but the wind makes it feel colder.  We aren’t expected to see much sun today but no precip is expected either. Our 2 PM temperature is 47°F, the humidity is 72%, and skies are overcast.  Winds are from the SE at 3-9 mph, and the pressure is 29.92 in and falling.  The dew point is 33°F and visibility is 10 miles.  Yesterday’s high was 67°F…
