Another Smoke Day In Mid Michigan

Another Smoke Day In Mid Michigan

Our sky has appeared cloudy all day, but yet the sun was shining although filtered.   We could barely see blue through the smoke filled sky, so it was difficult to tell if it was clouds or smoke.  I guess we can expect this to happen for the remaining summer and even autumn months.  I don’t think those Canadian fires will be put out until they get snow.  Hopefully, they’ll get a lot of it.  Other than that, it has been a nice day.  We had some isolated storm cells pop up across the state yesterday afternoon, and my area caught the edge of one of them.  All we got was a few sprinkles.  Today is dry and comfortably warm.  My AC has been off most of the day, but I just switched it on since my indoor temp is up to the mid 70s.  My house stays cool most of the day as long as I don’t open any windows or doors.

Our 5:45 PM temperature is 78°F (26°C), the humidity is 52%, and winds are from the NW at 1-4 mph.  The dew point is 57°F (14°C), and the pressure is 30.11 in (1019.7 mb) and falling.  Visibility is 13 miles.  Yesterday’s high was 78°F (26°C) and the overnight low is 55°F (13°C).  Average temps for this date are 81F/59F.  Sunrise was at 6:27 AM and sunset will be at 8:58 PM.  The Air Quality Index is moderate at 61, and the UV Index is low at 1.
