Another Steamy Day . . . .

Another Steamy Day . . . .

Last night brought some strong, noisy thunderstorms which I slept through, that left 0.34″ in my gauge.  I see that many places got much more than that, and even some severe storms in the southwest corner of the state.  We could see more tonight.  Right now, it is very warm and humid, with highs expected to reach the upper 80s, and they are well on there way now.  We do have a chance for rain today, but the chances increase tonight.  I won’t be going out much today, and will stay indoors with my AC.

Our 1:15 PM temperature is 79°F (26°C), the humidity is 71%, and winds are from the SW at 3-8 mph.  The pressure is 29.75 in (1007.5 mb) and rising, and the dew point is 55°F (19°C).  Visibility is 10 miles.  Yesterday’s high was 86°F (30°C), and the overnight low was 67°F (19°C).  Average temps for this date are 82°F/60°F.  The record high for July 14 is 101°F (38°C) set in 1936, and the record low is 46°F (8°C) set in 2001.  Sunrise was at 6:12 AM, and sunset will be at 9:14 PM.
