Very Warm And Humid, Storms On The Way . . . .

Today has been very warm since this morning, and there is no relief from the heat until Monday.  Meanwhile, we can expect some hefty storms tonight and tomorrow.  Some could drop some pretty impressive rain amounts according to local meteorologist, Mark Torregrossa with M Live.  We have had partly cloudy skies and plenty of sun up until now, but some dark clouds are beginning to move in.  Radar is showing rain coming off of Lake Michigan into the Grand Rapids area, and heading our way.  I guess we can expect to get a little wet tonight.

Our 4:45 PM temperature is 87°F, the humidity is 65%, and skies are cloudy.  Winds are from the SSW at 1-4 mph, and the pressure is 29.89 in and falling.  The dew point is 68°F and visibility is 11 miles.  Yesterday’s high was 89°F and the overnight low was 69°F.  The record high for July 31 is 96°F set in 1955, and the record low is 42°F set in 1918.  Sunrise was at 6:29 AM, and sunset will be at 8:59 PM.

Friday Night:  Cloudy with partial clearing after midnight.  Low near 67°F.  Winds N at 5-10 mph.
