After the heavy rain, and even a tornado, our Tuesday afternoon was quite nice although very chilly.  Our high temp struggled to reach 70°F in the afternoon.  We received a total of 1.39″ of rain, which finally ended around noon.  The tornado occurred in southern Michigan, near Three Rivers, and was estimated to be an EF0.  That was a bit unexpected as no severe storms were expected yesterday.  Today begins an extended period of dry weather, and there is no rain in the forecast anytime soon.  It’s about time!!!

Our 9:30 AM temperature is 68°F, the humidity is 78%, and skies are clear.  Winds are from the NE at 3-6 mph, and the pressure is 30.03 in and rising.  The dew point is 57°F and visibility is 10 miles.  Yesterday’s high was 71°F and the overnight low was 57°F.  Average temps for August 6 are 81°F/59°F.  Record temps for August 6 are 102°F (1918) and 35°F (1869).  Sunrise was at 6:35 AM, and sunset will be at 8:51 PM.

Tonight:  Clear skies.  Low near 55°F.  Winds ENE at 5-10 mph.

Thursday:  Mostly sunny.  High near 80°F.  Winds light and variable.
