Nasty Weather For our Sunday in Mid Michigan

Nasty Weather For our Sunday in Mid Michigan

Today is misty, damp, cloudy, and really not a nice day weather-wise.  We are under a dense fog advisory but visibility is still around 5 miles.  I’m thinking that it may get worse tonight  Temperatures are quite mild and we are losing a little snow every day.  Our ground cover is now down to 2.5 inches as of 9 AM this morning.  There is the possibility of heavy rain Tuesday which will change to snow by night time.  It isn’t expected to give us much of the white stuff, and I’m hoping that the forecast remains that way.  Our U.P, on the other hand, is expecting up to another foot of snow.  Latest CoCoRahs reports from many stations are already reporting up to a foot on the ground.

Our 2:45 PM temperature is 38.3°F (4°C), the humidity is 85%, and winds are calm.  The sky is cloudy with light fog.  The dew point is 35°F (2°C).  The pressure is steady at 29.99 in (1015.3 mb) and visibility is 5 miles.  Sunrise was at 8:02 AM, and sunset will be at 5:35 PM.  Yesterday’s high was 44°F (7°C) and the overnight low was 31°F (-1°C).  Averages for this date are 30°F / 14°F.  The record high for Jan. 20 is 60°F (16°C) set in 1907, and the record low is -20F (-23°C) set in 1994.
