Dark, Dreary, Wet On This Election Day – Mid Michigan

Everyone going out to vote today will be battling rain and wind.  It will not be a nice day at all.  What’s even worse is that temps will continue to fall all week with highs by week’s end only in the 30s.  I’m still waiting for Indian Summer, and am losing hope that it’s going to happen this year.  Autumn is usually my favorite season and I feel like we got totally finagled this year.  It all began the last week of September and has continued until now.  I was hoping that November would bring relief but so far it isn’t happening.

Our 9:15 AM temp is 49°F (9°C).  That’s a drop of two degrees since 8 AM.  Our humidity is 79% and winds are from the southwest at 21 mph, gusting to 25 mph.  The dew point is 47°F (8°C).  Visibility is 10 miles and skies are overcast.  The pressure is 29.44 in (997.0 mb) and rising.  Yesterday’s high was 54°F (12°C) and the overnight low was 45°F (7°C).  Averages for this date are 51°F / 36°F.
