Sunny But Very Cold Following The Storm – Mid Michigan

Yesterday was quite calm and not a bit stormy as originally predicted.  There were a few flurries early in the day and the wind increased a little causing some drifting.  We received about 11 inches here, but today, with the snow settling, I measured 9.5 inches of snow cover.  The snow plow came through early today, so life has returned to normal once again.  Looking at the radar, the storm is now well to our south, and I feel sorry for those who are dealing with ice.  I’d take 3 feet of snow anytime over an ice storm.

Our 12:30 PM temperature is 15°F (-9°C), the humidity is 75%, and skies are partly cloudy.  Winds are from the NNE at 3-9 mph and the dew point is 4°F (-16°C).  The wind chill is 11°F (-12°C) and the pressure is 30.08 in (1018.6 mb) and falling.  Visibility is 10 miles.  Yesterday’s high was 20°F (-7°C), and the overnight low was 0°F (-18°C).  Sunrise was at 7:48 AM and sunset will be at 5:53 PM.
