Winter Storm Advisory For Mid Michigan
A winter weather advisory has been issued for my area with winter storm warnings in effect for counties to our north and west. This could be our first BIG winter storm of the season and it isn’t even winter yet. Expected accumulations vary depending on the source. NOAA is saying 3-6 inches and the Weather Channel says 6-8. Those amounts are higher than what they said yesterday so apparently the storm direction will be heading more in our direction. It will be interesting to see where it goes.
Right now (9:30 AM), we have mild temperatures which will be falling the remainder of the day. The temp is 38°F (3°C), the humidity is 80%, and winds are from the west at 8 mph giving us a wind chill of 34°F (1°C). The pressure is 29.87 in (1011.5 mb). Yesterday’s high was 48°F (9°C) and the overnight low was 38°F (3°C). Averages for this date are 41°F / 29°F. Visibility is 10 miles. We received 0.05″ of rain yesterday. Sunrise was at 7:41 AM and sunset will be at 5:05 PM.
