Cloudy, Cold. windy – Just A Crappy October Day In Mid Michigan
Yesterday was quite nice until storms started to brew over the state. We took a trip to a cider mill and bought some donuts and cider. Then we took them to the Holly Rec area where we ate some of them and just enjoyed being in the woods. At that point, the sun was in and out of the clouds although radar was showing mostly light showers forming all around us. There were more potent storms forming in the western side and mid portions of the state. Someone on the Michigan Weather Facebook page said that that they had a very loud thunderstorm over Grand Blanc, which actually set off some car alarms. I haven’t listened to the news today so don’t know if there was any damage from the storms, although we did see some mammatus clouds as we were driving home. They are usually an indicator of severe weather. Here at home, we didn’t even get any thunder, just 0.20″ of rain
