Hot, Humid and Mostly Clear In Mid Michigan
Our weekend has turned out as promised. Very hot and uncomfortable for those of us who are heat sensitive. The saving factor of the day is the wind. Some places could reach 90°F although the forecasted high is 87°F. We had to make a trip to Pontiac this morning and were very happy to have AC in our truck. This entire upcoming week is expected to be hot and dry although there is the chance for some pop-up afternoon thunder showers each day. We were sitting outdoors yesterday afternoon and felt a few sprinkles from a passing dark cloud. It only lasted about 3 minutes and wouldn’t have even be noticed had we not been outdoors. Thunderstorms seem to be a rarity for us this year.
Our 2 PM temperature is 85F (29°C), the humidity is 39%, and winds are from the WSW at 8-15 mph. The pressure is 29.74 in (1007.5 mb) and falling. Skies are mostly clear and the dew point is 54°F (12°C). Visibility is 10 miles. Yesterday’s high was 85°F (29°C) and the overnight low was 70°F (21°C). Average temps for this date are 75°F / 52°F.
