Calm Before The Storm – Mid Michigan

Calm Before The Storm – Mid Michigan

Our morning is beginning with filtered sun and mostly cloudy skies.  It’s actually quite nice outdoors, and tomorrow isn’t expected to be too bad either.  Weather gurus aren’t quite sure exactly when the “flash freeze” happens, and that’s when roads are expected to become like a skating rink.  I’m hoping that my daughter has the good sense not to try and drive here when that happens.  We still haven’t gotten a good take on what exactly is expected to happen, but we do know that there will be quite a bit of snow and strong winds.  Local weather people are warning us not to go anywhere on Thursday or Friday.  Even Saturday is iffy at this point, but Christmas should see an end to it although the roads will probably still not be good.  I’m waiting to hear my old standby weather expert, Ryan Hall, to come out with his final assessment of this storm.

Our 11:30 AM temperature is 29°F, the humidity is 85%, and winds are from the SSW at 3-7 mph.  The dew point is 29°F and the pressure is 30.21 in and steady.  Visibility is 10 miles.  Yesterday’s high was 28°F and the overnight low was 22°F.  Average temps for this date are 34°F / 22°F.  Sunrise was at 8:05 AM and sunset will be at 5:05 PM.
