A Beautiful Holy Saturday In Mid Michigan

A Beautiful Holy Saturday In Mid Michigan

After more rain than we need, this weekend and the upcoming week sound wonderful.  Every day will be a little warmer with the 70s expected by week’s end.  It doesn’t get any better than that.  Much of the water has receded but many of the fields still have a lot of standing water, and the river is still near flood levels. Our 3 PM temperature is 55°F (13°C), the humidity is 46%, and skies are mostly cloudy with filtered sun. …

A Sunny Good Friday For Mid Michigan

A Sunny Good Friday For Mid Michigan

This upcoming week is expected to be beautiful.  There are no storm systems approaching and temperatures will remain above average; even hitting the 70 degree mark later in the week.  This morning is a bit chilly and probably won’t make it out of the upper 40s, but the sun will make it feel warmer.  There is a lot of standing water around, and many of the  fields are flooded.  I’m sure the farmers are happy with this forecast.  It’s time…

No End To The Severe Weather – Mid Michigan

There is another round of severe and tornadic weather expected for mid week.  My area is in the marginal risk area, but it seems like these storms keep hitting the same areas.  So far, we’ve been lucky, but I keep wondering how long our luck will hold.  Today is beginning with very chilly temperatures but plenty of sun.  There is frost this morning but temperatures are expected to rise into the upper 40s by afternoon.  Winds won’t be too strong…

After A Busy Weather Day – Mid Michigan

After A Busy Weather Day – Mid Michigan

Yesterday was an unbelievable day of severe storms and tornadoes throughout the mid-section of the US.  It began fairly early in the afternoon, and continued throughout the night.  We had just a nice summer-type thunderstorm around 9 PM, which dumped a little over and inch of rain on us.  Earlier, we had a little over quarter of an inch, so I think we have enough rain for awhile.  I watched the happenings on different YouTube weather channels and was a…
