A Welcome Turn Around In Our Weather – Mid Michigan

Today begins our transition from winter to spring, finally.  Highs should reach the upper 50s and each day this week getting a little warmer.  Yesterday was really nasty with rain mixed with a little snow falling most of the day.  Making it even worse was the strong wind.  It felt more like a day in March than early May.  My rain gauge measured 0.15″.

Our 11:15 AM temperature is 48°F (9°C), the humidity is 80%, and the dew point 40°F (4°C).  Winds are from the NW at 5-12 mph, giving us a wind chill of 40°F (4°C).  The pressure is 29.85 in (1010.8 mb) and rising.  Visibility is 7 miles.  Yesterday’s high was 42°F (6°C) and the overnight low was 37°F (3°C).  Average temps for this date are 65°F/42°F.  Sunrise was at 6:29 AM and sunset will be at 8:39 PM.,

Tonight:  Mostly cloudy early, becoming partly cloudy overnight.  Low 36°F (2°C).  Winds NNW at 5-10 mph,.

Thursday:  Partly sunny  High 61°F (16°C).  Winds NW at around 5  mph.
