The Heat Begins Today . . . .

Michigan dads have a beautiful day to celebrate.  I can’t speak for the rest of the country but we’ll take today for sure.  On the negative side, today will be the coolest that we’ll have for awhile, if forecasts are correct.  The rest of this week could see highs in the 90s, and even pushing close to 100F.  I can’t remember the last time we reached 100 degrees, but I think it was back in the 1970s.  Regardless, that’s much too hot!

Our 2 PM temperature is 83°F, the humidity is 53%, and skies are mostly clear.  The pressure is 30.02 in and falling, and visibility is 14 miles.  The dew point is 47°F and the heat index is 80°F.  Yesterday’s high temp was 78°F, and the overnight low was 56°F.  Average temps for this date are 79°F/57°F.  The record high for June 15 is 95°F set in 2022, and the record low is 39°F set in 1997.  Sunrise was at 5:58 AM, and sunset will be at 9:19 PM.
