Most Snow Is Gone . . . .

Most Snow Is Gone . . . .

We had about half an inch of snow this morning, now most is gone.  Much of the western side of the state is buried  with up to 4 feet in some areas.  I was watching the storm chasers on YouTube yesterday, and they were out helping people get unstuck and taking food to police and emergency personnel.  It reminded me of the Weather Channel program, Highway Through Hell.  I-94 was definitely not the place to be.  We didn’t get anything like that, just intermittent snow squalls which melted soon after contact with the ground and bare surfaces.  We had a little sun earlier today which aided in melting what snow we had left.

Our 3:45 PM temperature is 35°F (2°C), the humidity is 75%, and winds are from the west at 4-9 mph.  The pressure is 30.16 in (1021.3 mb) and falling, and the wind chill is 28°F (-2°C).  The dew point is 25°F (-4°C) and visibility is 11 miles.  Yesterday’s high was 37°F (3°C) and the overnight low was 24°F (-4°C).  Record temps for Dec. 2 are 67°F  (1982) and -4°C (1976).  Sunrise was at 7:52 AM and sunset will be at 5:04 PM.
