Meteorological Autumn Begins In Mid Michigan
Although the weather service considers today as the first day of autumn, our weather seems more like mid July. Temps are in the mid 80s, and light breezes make it feel even hotter. It sounds like we’ll have a nice Labor Day weekend for those who plan on a day at the beach, picnics, or boating. As for us, we have no big plans. My kids will be home for the weekend and we’ll probably have a campfire. That’s our usual routine on summer holidays. We have a slight chance for some rain over the weekend but no big storms. We can deal with that. They want to celebrate their dad’s birthday this weekend since we all had Covid at that time. Better late than never.
Our 4:45 PM temperature is 85F, the humidity is 35%, and skies are mostly clear. Winds are from the west at 3-6 mph, and the dew point is 54°F.
