Potent Winter Storm Heading Our Way – Mid Michigan
We are still keeping our eye on a major winter storm which seems to be heading right at us. There is still some uncertainty as to exactly how it will affect us, but there is no doubt that we will get some snow from it. A white Christmas seems to be a guarantee at this time. Our temperatures have really gotten cold and a “Siberian Express” will be over us next week. From what I understand, that’s worse than a polar vortex. Strong winds will also come with it, and I hope that we don’t lose our power. But what will be will be and we’ll just deal with it.
Our 1 PM temperature is 24°F, the humidity is 84%, and skies are cloudy. We received just a trace of new snow yesterday giving us about an inch of snow cover. Winds are from the west at 2-12 mph, and the dew point is 19°F. The pressure is 30.23 in and steady, and visibility is 10 miles. Yesterday’s high was 30°F and the overnight low was 21°F. Average temps for this date are 34°F / 22°F. Sunrise was at 8:04 AM and sunset will be at 5:05 PM.
