Winter Storm Almost Over – Mid Michigan
Merry Christmas! It has done nothing but snow for the past 3 days, and today is no exception. It isn’t heavy but just enough to keep adding the inches. We now have about 6 inches with 12 inch drifts scattered throughout the yard. Roads around here are terrible with snow over ice, and it has been so cold that salt doesn’t affect it much. It should be warm enough today and we should see the roads beginning to thaw. Every day this week will be a little warmer and highs are expected to reach into the 50s by next weekend. That will really be a welcome change.
Our 12:30 PM temperature is 17°F, the humidity is 80%, and skies are cloudy with light snow. Visibility is 3 miles and winds are from the west at 10-18 mph. The wind chill is 5°F and the dew point is 10°F. Yesterday’s high was 16°F and the overnight low was 14°F. Sunrise was at 8:07 AM and sunset will be at 5:08 PM.
