Winter Weather Advisory In Effect For Mid Michigan

We are expecting 2-4 inches of snow today according to most of our local media.  At this time it is just snowing lightly with about half an inch of accumulation.  It is expected to get heavier as the day goes on.  Southern Michigan is expecting much more with accumulations of up to 7 inches possible.   I’m happy with what we are getting, just enough to brighten our day.  Yesterday was the warmest day that we will see for awhile, with a Canadian cold front taking over our weather for the next week or so.

Our 10:45 AM temperature is 32°F, the humidity is 95%, and winds are from the east at 4-7 mph.  The pressure is 29.77 in and falling.  The dew point is 29°F and visibility is only 2 miles.  Skies are cloudy with light to moderate snow.  Yesterday’s high was 40°F and the overnight low was 27F.  Average temps for this date are 30°F / 15°F.  Record temps for Jan. 24 are 65°F / -16°F.  Sunrise was at 7:59 AM and sunset will be at 5:40 PM.
