A Ice/Sleet/Rain/Snow Mix For Our Thursday – Mid Michigan
We had a winter mess late yesterday which began as rain, then changed to freezing rain and sleet, then snow on top of that. It only amounted to 1-2 inches of ground cover, but everything was a bit icy this morning. We had to go out shopping and the roads weren’t too bad by noon. Now the sun is out and there is quite a bit of melting happening, even though the temperatures aren’t that warm. Temps will be warming back up into the 40s tomorrow, so none of this will last long.
Our 2:30 PM temperature is 24°F (-4°C), the humidity is 65%, and winds are from the NW at 14-20 mph. The wind chill is 12°F (-11°C) and the dew point is 11°F (-12°C). The pressure is 30.26 in (1024 mb) and steady. Yesterday’s high was 55°F (13°C) and the overnight low was 18°F (-8°C). Average Temps for this date are 33°F / 17°C. Record temps for Feb. 16 are 54°F / -11°F. Sunrise was at 7:33 AM and sunset will be at 7:46 PM.
