A Little Snow to Start Our Saturday – Mid Michigan
Our ground cover is about 2 inches of frozen whatever, and very little of it is snow. We did have a slight snow shower early this morning which left an additional half inch to the mix. It has now stopped and our forecast is calling for clearing later on. Our skies cleared late yesterday afternoon and we saw quite a bit of sun. It helped clear some of the ice on our deck, but it didn’t get warm enough to really make much of a difference. Today should be better, especially if we have quite a bit of sun. Temperatures will also be a bit warmer.
Our 11 AM temp is 28°F (-3°C), the humidity is 86%, and winds are from the S at 4-7 mph. The wind chill is 19°F (-7°C) and the dew point is 22°F (-6°C). The pressure is 29.95 in (1014.2 mb) and falling. Visibility is 10 miles. Yesterday’s high was 29°F (-2°C) and the overnight low was 21°F (-6°C). Average temps for this date are 36°F / 19°F, and record temps for Feb. 24 are 61°F / -15°F. Sunrise was at 7:21 AM and sunset will be at 6:21 PM.
