A big Cool-Down For Mid Michigan
Today has been sunny, but our high barely made it to 60F, and with a steady wind from the northeast, it hasn’t been very pleasant to be outdoors. Tomorrow should be warmer and there is still no mention of rain until the weekend. Our sky has a hazy look with smoke from wildfires in Canada. We are being warned to avoid unnecessary burning because of very dry conditions. The humidity and dew points have been very low for this time of year, and I’m hearing the long range summer forecast for us is calling for below average precipitation, and above average temperatures. We know, however, that long range predictions aren’t often reliable.
Our 6PM temperature is 57°F (14°C), the humidity is 28% and the dew point is 22°F (-6°C). Winds are from the NE at 5-9 mph and visibility is 18 miles. The pressure is 30.03 in (1016.9 mb) and steady. Yesterday’s high was 79°F (26°C) and the overnight low was 35°F (2°C). Sunrise was at 6:12 AM and sunset will be at 8:55 PM.
