Heat, Humidity = Storms . . . .

Southern lower Michigan fell victim to some strong storms yesterday afternoon.  Storm cells were developing sporadically, and even resulted in a few tornado warnings although no touch downs.  We can expect the same today and tomorrow.  They all missed my area but we did have a quick shower this morning, which suddenly developed just to our west.  We should get some relief from this heat and humidity next week, and it will be greatly welcome.

Our 10:30 AM temperature is 75°F, the humidity is 91%, and skies are mostly cloudy with filtered sun.  Winds are from the W at 0-5 mph, and the pressure is 29.99 in and steady.  The dew point is 70°F and visibility is 6 miles.  Yesterday’s high was 85°F and the overnight low was 66°F.  Average temps for this date are 80°F/57°F.  The record high for June 20 is 97°F set in 1953, and the record low is 41°F set in 1992.  Sunrise was at 5:58 AM, and sunset will be at 9:19 PM.
