First Snow Cover Of The Season . . .
Well, it finally happened . . . . we have a white world this morning. It began as graupel last night, then changed to snow before dawn. I have to admit that I welcome the brightness that it brings. We don’t even need any lights on. We only have about half an inch. With our high today only near the freezing mark, I don’t expect this to melt right away, and snow is in our forecast for most of this week.
Our 11:45 AM temperature is 30°F (-1°C), the humidity is 84% and winds are from the west at 15-25 mph. The pressure is 29.98 in (1015.2 mb) and steady. The dew point is 24°F (-4°C) and visibility is 10 miles. Yesterday’s high was 36°F (2°C) and the overnight low was 26°F (-3°C). Average temps for this date are 40°F/27°F. Record temps for Nov 28 are 67°F (2017) and 2°F (1930). Sunrise was at 7:47 AM, and sunset will be at 5:05 PM.
