A Little Sun Before the Misery . . . .

Today looks to be one of our more pleasant days before the deep freeze.  Highs should reach above freezing and we could see quite of bit of sunlight.  Right now, we have a thin cloud cover and filtered sun.  Winds aren’t too strong yet but are expected to pick up through the afternoon.  I’m hoping that at least all the snow will melt where we shoved on the deck before more snow arrives tonight.

Our 10:45 temp is 32°F, the humidity is 79%, and skies are mostly cloudy.  Winds are from the south at 5-12 mph, and the pressure is 29.78 in and falling.  The wind chill is 26°F and the dew point is 24°F.  Visibility is 10 miles.  Yesterday’s high was 33F and the overnight low was 17F.  Average temps for this date are 30°F/15°F.  Record temps for Jan. 16 are 57°F (1948) and -15°F (1994).  Sunrise was at 8:05 AM and sunset will be at 5:30 PM.
