Typical Summer Weather . . . .

Today began with clear skies and very warm temperatures,  now we have mostly clouds.  With the heat, humidity and high dew point, there is the possibility for a random thunderstorm to emerge throughout the day.  This is typical for summers in Michigan.  At least we have been spared from the severe weather south and west of us.  Our fourth of July weekend is expected to be nice, so that’s a good thing.

Our 1:30 PM temperature is 85°F, the humidity is 52%, and the dew point is 62°F.  Winds are from the west at 4-7 mph and the pressure is 29.89 and falling.  Visibility is 16 miles.  The UV Index is very high at 9.  Yesterday’s high was 85°F and the overnight low was 66°F.  Normal temps for this date are 82°F/59°F.  Record temps for July 1 are 102°F (1931) and 40°F (1965).  Sunrise was at 6:02 AM and sunset will be at 9:19 PM.
