Record Heat For Our Start of Autumn in Mid Michigan
I’m doing my blog here this morning since I am unable to access Weather Together. Our weather is quite eventful, not only the heat but the strange thunderstorms that formed at home yesterday. A fairly large batch of storms formed over Clinton and Shiawassee counties late yesterday afternoon, then seemed to become stationary. It rained for about three hours before the system finally dissipated. We received an inch at my house, but some other areas received over an inch to almost two inches. Since we are in Topinabee, I received this report from my son who is at home. Our highs are breaking records and this is expected to last until early next week. The good thing is that our weather is predicted to be nice for the remainder of time that we are here in northern Michigan.
Our 9 AM Indian River temperature is 67°F, winds are from the SE at 5 mph, and the humidity is 97%. The dew point is 66°F. The pressure is 30.06 in and falling. Visibility is 5 miles. Yesterday’s high was 83°F and the overnight low was 65°F. We just missed the record high which is 84°F. The 9 AM Corunna temperature is 72°F, the humidity is 81%, and winds calm. The pressure is 30.12 in and visibility is 10 miles. The dew point is 66°F.
