Big Changes Coming To Mid Michigan

We better enjoy today’s mild temperatures because they won’t be around much longer.  A strong cold front will be moving in from Canada and we will be doing well to see highs above freezing by the week’s end.  Yesterday was a lovely day with plenty of sun and light winds.  We spent the afternoon in the Detroit area with my kids, and there was a lot of outdoor activity with the nice weather.  So many have already gotten their Christmas decor up with the mild weather that we have had.  As for me, I haven’t even started yet.  Radar is showing a lot of rain to our west and it seems to be moving to the northeast.  I think it will be a while before it reaches us.

Our 8:45 AM EST temp is 43.2°F (6°C), the humidity is 63%, and skies are cloudy.  The pressure is 30.04 in (1017.0 mb) and falling.  Winds are from the SSE at 13 mph, giving us a wind chill of 38°F (3°C).  Visibility is 10 miles.  Yesterday’s high was  53°F (12°C) and the overnight low was 40°F (4°C).  Averages for this date are  39°F / 25°F.  The record high for Dec. 3 is 66°F  (19°C) set in 1982, and the record low is -6°F (-17°C) set in 1976.
