Halloween was a bust for our area with moderate to heavy rain and cold temperatures.  Some kids had to go trick-or-treating in the snow.  Our snow didn’t come until overnight when we received about half an inch.  It melted soon after daybreak which is a good thing.  I didn’t even get my Halloween decor out this year since their was so much wind, and one TV station put the extreme Halloween weather stats on.  According to them, this Halloween broke no records, but this was before Halloween night.  The warmest on record was in 1933 with a high of 79°F,  The coldest was in 1925 when the temps dipped to 19°F.  The wettest was in 2013 with 1.14″ of rainfall, and the snowiest, according to past records, was in 2017 with a trace of snow.,  Okay, that one I think we did break because we did get more than a trace.  In fact, some places got as much as 4 inches.  This data was from the Saginaw Int’l airport which is about 40 miles north of us.
