Very Warm Temperatues Outdone By Strong Winds – Mid Michigan
Yesterday was a beautiful day but strong winds took the joy of it away. We sat out for a bit, somewhere out of the wind and it was quite nice. Skies were completely clear all day and our furnace didn’t run all afternoon. Today is still seeing temps in the upper 50s, but it is still windy and now clouds are moving in. Rain is in the forecast for tonight and we could see a substantial amount. With that will come cooler temperatures but we have to accept that this early in the spring season. As it is, temperatures have been above normal most of the winter, and we never did have a severe cold spell. That will probably mean a log of bugs this summer. I’m seeing my daffodils starting to sprout but no sign of the crocuses yet.
Our 3 PM temperature is 59°F (15°C), the humidity is 59%, and winds are from the SW at 7 to 18 mph. The pressure is 29.97 in and steady. Visibility is 10 miles and the dew point is 45°F (7°C). The wind chill is 52°F (11°C). Yesterday’s high was 63°F (17°C) and the overnight low was 49°F (9°C). Average temps for this date are 39°F / 23°F. Sunrise was at 7:57 AM EDT and sunset will be at 7:36 PM.
