Still Waiting For Warm Weather In Mid Michigan
Here it is, almost the middle of May and we are still seeing snow or other frozen precipitation. Unbelievable! I can’t remember ever having May be this cold and I’ve been around for many years. Fortunately, the extended forecast is calling for the last half of the month to be closer to normal. I certainly hope so! We had a very small amount of rain yesterday which left 0.02″ in my gauge. It wasn’t nearly as much as what other areas got, just enough to get the grass wet. Sunday morning was quite warm, but temperatures dropped as the day went on.
Our 10:15 AM temperature is 39°F (4°C), the humidity is 66%, and skies are overcast. Winds are from the NNW at 4-17 mph and the dew point is 28°F (-2°C). The pressure is 30.05 in (1017.6 mb) and rising. Yesterday’s high was 58°F (14°C) and the overnight low was 34°F (1°C). Sunrise was at 6:16 AM and sunset will be at 8:49 PM.
