More Storms Brewing For Our Afternoon – Mid Michigan

We had to go to Detroit yesterday and the weather situation was quite remarkable.  When we left at 9 AM, the sun was out with scattered clouds.  Then the sky became overcast and dark clouds began appearing to our south.  We soon had sprinkles with no real heavy rain.  On our return home, we ran into one deluge after another.  It was like going through a car wash and visibility was near zero at times.  These rain squalls didn’t last long and then the sun would come out again and the pavement would be dry a few miles later.  Here at home, we only received 0.09″ for the day, but many places received over an inch.  Other areas received nothing.  Today’s forecast is calling for much of the same and I’m hoping that we do get more rain than yesterday.  Drought conditions do exist is many areas of the state.

Our 2:30 PM temperature is 85°F (29°C), the humidity is 60% and skies are partly to mostly cloudy.  Winds are from the SE at 2-7 mph.  The pressure is 29.90 in (1012.5 mb) and falling.  The dew point is 65°F (18°C) and visibility is 10 miles.  Yesterday’s high was 85°F (29°C) and the overnight low was 68°F (20°C).  Average temps for this date are 74°F / 54°F.  Sunrise was at 5:57 AM and sunset will be at 9:13 PM.
