Rain, Rain, and More Rain – Mid Michigan
While so many here in the state are saying how happy they are for the rain, I feel like we’re about to float away. My weather station is now showing that we’ve received almost 4 inches of rain since June 1. I realize that many areas haven’t been as lucky as us, but come on already, enough is enough. It has been raining almost steady since I got up this morning, and we’re all getting cabin fever. Radar is showing that there is a lot more to come, and this is expected to continue over the next 4-5 days. We’re going up to the campground for the holiday and plan to leave Wednesday. They have been getting rain up there but nothing like here. There was a Red Flag warning up when we were there, but I hear that is no longer in effect.
Our 1:45 PM temperature is 70°F (21°C), the humidity is 96% and skies are overcast with moderate rain. I emptied 0.51″ from my rain gauge at 7:45 AM, and there is now another 0.42″ since then. Winds are from the southeast at 1-7 mph and visibility is 5 miles. The dew point is 69°F (21°C) and the pressure is 29.92 in (1013.2 mb) and steady. Yesterday’s high was 77°F (25°C) and the overnight low was 66°F (19°C), Averages for this date are 78°F / 57°F. Sunrise was at 5:58 AM and sunset will be at 9:19 PM.
