Snowy and Blustery In Mid Michigan

Snowy and Blustery In Mid Michigan

Today is not a nice one for having to be out and about.  We have very strong winds out of the west which makes it feel much colder than it is.  We had a mix of rain, snow, and sleet yesterday which turned into all rain by late afternoon.  There was only 0.12″ in my rain gauge this morning so we didn’t get nearly as much precip as most of the state did.  The UP was under a winter storm warning all day yesterday and I’m seeing snow totals up to 13″ in the Keweenaw area.  Gaylord received 10 inches in some places, so we lucked out this time.

Our 1 PM temperature is 33°F (1°C), the humidity is 75%, and skies are cloudy with light snow. Winds are from the NW at 10-25 mph, and the dew point is 26°F (-3°C).  The pressure is 29.63 in (1003.4 mb) and rising.  Visibility is 5 miles and the wind chill is 20°F (-7°C).  Sunrise was at 7:53 AM and sunset will be at 5:02 PM.  Yesterday’s high was 41°F (5°C), and the overnight low was 32°F (0°C).  Average temps for this date are 36°F / 25°F.
