Clouds And Sun To Start Our Day . . . .

Clouds And Sun To Start Our Day . . . .

Our morning was cloudy, but now there are breaks in the clouds and  the sun is shining.  We could see some rain later on and I hope it happens.  Whatever rain does come won’t do much to cool it off, with highs today still expected to reach the mid 80s.  This weather in unbelievable.  I think that Mother Nature thinks it is still August. Our 1:45 PM temperature is 78°F (26°C), the humidity is 73%, and winds are from the…

Still Dry . . .

Still Dry . . .

We may see some rain tomorrow, but only a slight chance.  We could see a little rain this weekend and into next week.  I’m seeing some severe weather on the forecast map which is moving our way, but we’ll have to keep an eye on that one.  As for today, it looks like it will be another winner. Our 12:30 PM temperature is 78°F (26°C), the humidity is 54%, and skies are mostly clear.  Winds are from the NE at…

Another Warm, Dry Day . . . . .

Another Warm, Dry Day . . . . .

e We haven’t had any rain now in almost 2 weeks and it’s getting very dry.  Also, there is none in the forecast anytime soon.  This is the type of weather that we usually get in mid summer, not in the fall.  Our seasons seem to be flip flopping a bit.  Our temperatures continue to be much about average, and this is expected to continue until the end of the month.  At least the lawn has finally stopped growing. Our…

Dry And Sunny Continues . . .

Dry And Sunny Continues . . .

Today will be almost the same as the past week.  There is no mention of any rain until possibly next Sunday night.  So our summer weather will continue a bit longer.  Any complaints?  I don’t think so. Our 10:30 AM temperature is 66°F, the humidity is 78%, and skies are clear.  Winds are from the E at 1-3 mph, and the pressure is 29.97 in and steady.  The dew point is 58°F and visibility is 10 miles.  Yesterday’s high was…

No Changes In Our Weather . . . . .

No Changes In Our Weather . . . . .

We have had strong high pressure over us now for over a week, and it doesn’t show any signs of leaving anytime soon.  I’m not seeing any rain in the forecast well into next weekend.  I’m having to water my flowers for the first time this summer.  How unusual that is. Our 1PM temperature is 81°F (27°C), the humidity is 49%, and skies are clear.  Winds are from the E at 1- 5 mph, and the pressure is 30.04 in…

Another Day, Just The Same . . .

Another Day, Just The Same . . .

This weather seems to be redundant with no changes from day to day.  We still have no rain, not much wind, and very warm temperatures.  There is a bit of color now in the woods, and we see a little more each day.  Many of the poplars have dropped half their leaves, and even the maples are starting to shed.  I think it would happen more quickly if the weather was cooler.  But we better enjoy it while it lasts….

Clear Skies, Warm Temperatures . . .

Clear Skies, Warm Temperatures . . .

We have another day just like the past week.  No rain, clear skies, light breezes, and plenty of bugs.  I think we have more bugs now than we’ve had all summer.  I guess they like the dry, warm weather.  I’m noticing the bird traffic at my feeding station isn’t as busy as it has been.  I have mostly wood peckers and the humming birds are still coming around.  I haven’t seen an oriole in about two weeks, and almost no…

Our nice weather continues and still no mention of rain anytime soon.  This is the longest period that we have had without rain all summer.  We have some low spots in our yard that never seem to dry out, so maybe this will do it. Our 11:30 AM temperature is 75°F (24°C), the humidity is 70%, and winds are from the NE at 1-5 mph.  The pressure is 30.04 in (1017.3 mb) and steady, and the dew point is 62°F…

Another Dry, Sunny Day . . . .

Another Dry, Sunny Day . . . .

Well, it looks like ex-Hurricane Francine will be missing us entirely and I’m not complaining about that.  It has now been downgraded to a tropical storm, but not without leaving it’s mark on Louisiana and Mississippi.  Our national weather map shows that is isn’t quite finished yet, with tornadoes very possible in Mississippi and Alabama today.  There is also severe weather possible in the northwest, but all is good here in Michigan.  Summer continues to be hanging on here. I’m…

Great Weather Continues . . . .

Great Weather Continues . . . .

We have another beautiful day to look forward to.  Last night was quite mild and today should make it into the low to mid 80s for our high temperature.  It just doesn’t get any better than this.  I love autumn in Michigan. Our 9:15 AM temp is 62°F, the humidity is 95%, and winds are calm.  The pressure is 30.00 in and rising, and the dew point is 59°F.  Visibility is 8 miles.  Yesterday’s high was 80°F, and the overnight…
